I have a huge interest in animals, in particular horses. I worked in an equestrian stable for many years, training horses and aiding with children's riding lessons. With these, I have given several lectures on horse care and stable management. I was part of the committee for the Equestrian Club during my undergraduate years. Through this, I travelled to different areas around Ireland to compete in the annual equestrian intervarsities in both dressage and show jumping.
I also have a great interest in music. I have played the wooden or traditional flute and tin whistle for many years.
