Wake Forest Institute For Regenerative Medicine
REMEDI has recently established a partnership with the Wake Forest Institute For Regenerative Medicine (WFIRM) in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Part of the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Centre, the Institute is one of the leading centres of research into tissue engineering and regenerative medicine in the USA.
The Institute has built up a significant global reputation in the development of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, and is renowned for development from research concept to translation to clinical trial stage.
Together with the Network of Excellence for Functional Biomaterials (NFB) at NUI Galway, REMEDI has formally agreed a partnership with Prof. David Williams of WFIRM. The partnership agreement will facilitate the establishment of student and faculty exchanges, research collaborations and the co-development of projects related to translational regeneratative medicine.
