Emory Center for the Engineering of Living Tissue, Georgia Tech
REMEDI has a collaboration with the Georgia Institute of Technology and Emory Center for Living Tissue (GTEC) based in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. GTEC is internationally recognized for its strengths in regenerative medicine as well as novel applications of translational medical therapies.
This collaboration involves researchers at REMEDI linking up with the research teams led by Prof. Robert Nerem, the Director of the Georgia Tech/Emory Centre of Regenerative Medicine. The collaboration involves an exchange of research and development in translational medicine projects in areas including vascular biology, tissue engineering, cardiovascular devices and regenerative medicine.
There is an exchange of research and expertise as well as students and postdoctoral researchers exchange. The ultimate goal of the collaboration with GTEC is the advancement of repair, replacement and regeneration of tissues and organs.
