Prof. Noriyuki Kasahara of the David Geffen School of Medicine, University of California presented a talk entitled "The Genetic Pharmacopeia: Light at the end of the translational tunnel" during the "Cancer Gene Therapy" session during the 2008 Annual Irish Society of Gene and Cell Therapy (ISGCT) conference.

Prof. Kasahara is the president of the International Society for Cell and Gene Therapy of Cancer (ISCGT).

The 2008 ISGCT conference was jointly organised with the British Society for Gene Therapy, and the International Society of Cell & Gene Therapy of Cancer, and included many high profile figures in the gene therapy field.
