Did you know that our body is made up of cells? That genes (not jeans!) decide what we will look like? That bacteria lived on earth long before dinosaurs?!
Ready Set Bio! is an exciting new primary science programme which introduces a hands on approach to teaching science in the classroom. Developed by REMEDI, especially for the primary school sector, this programme supports the 4th – 6th class primary science curriculum and is both interactive and fun.
Participating schools receive 4 workshop sessions for children delivered by a qualified REMEDI facilitator (with a little help from Ugene & Geena!). The workshops include discussions, fun experiments and microscope work as well as some fun forensic crime solving!
These sessions are delivered in the classroom and are free of charge.

Quotes from participating students:
“I never knew science could be so much fun!”
“I liked it because it made science easy and fun. Before I thought that science was boring but it made me realise it isn’t!”
“I thought science was boring before the workshop. Then we did really fun stuff!"
If you would like the Ready Set Bio! team to visit your school call 087 6299679 or e-mail info@remedi.ie to find out more about availability of a programme facilitator.
